Project Red Socks
The Red Socks Project purpose is to create awareness about prostate cancer and to remind every male over 50 to consult with their doctor about this important health issue.
Smith Family
Today, 1 in 6 Australian children and young people are living in poverty. The Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise have helped ten children financially to attend primary school to help break the cycle of poverty.
Indigenous Education
We have assisted the NRL Cowboys House to improve the educational outcomes of indigenous children from remote communities. Our club has sponsored 3 students to attend school in Townsville
Cowboys House Yarning Circle
Sunrise Rotary Townsville partnered with Cowboys House to build a yarning circle to facilitate students connecting with their culture through learning in a culturally appropriate setting.

Castle Hill Markers
The Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise have made Castle Hill in Townsville a safer place to exercise thanks to their Castle Hill Markers project, completed in partnership with the Townsville City Council.
Days For Girls
The Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise has assisted the Townsville Chapter of Days for Girls to better provide sanitary items for girls that would otherwise go without, helping them achieve equity in education and life
Thuringowa Friendship Park
The Thuringowa Friendship Park (Lappin Park) upgrade project was started by the Taiwan Rotarian, CT Wu, gifting $10,000 to Sunrise Rotary to carry out a project to promote peace.
Dengue Eradication - Fiji
Fiji is now a safer place thanks to the Dengue Eradication project implemented through a community led response by breeding Wolbachia treated Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes in residents homes.
National Youth Science Forum
The Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise selects two promising high school students to attend the National Youth Science Forum in Canberra each year providing a subsidy for the selected students.
