Promoter

The $100,000 Rotary Mega Raffle 2023 will be conducted by the Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise. The benefitting organisation is the Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise (ABN 27 811 707 577). The benefitting organisation is a not-for-profit organisation.

Beneficiary

Net proceeds of the raffle will be in support of the Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise.  Projects supported by the Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise include the Rotary Red Socks initiative, promoting Prostate Cancer awareness, the Smith Family, Townsville Dementia Society, NRL Cowboys House, Starfish Nippers and numerous others. Rotary is made up of Volunteers who carry out humanitarian work around the globe.  Teams conduct short term exercises, have predetermined and agreed goals and ensure that projects are sustainable.  The Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise believes in the Rotary ideal of fellowship through service, donating funds and carrying out service projects both within the North Queensland area and globally.

Promotion Period

The Raffle starts at 9 am (AEST) on 16 June 2023. The Raffle closes at 5 pm (AEST) on 9 December 2023. No entries will be accepted after this time.

Relevant States/Entry Restrictions

Entry is open to residents of the Northern Territory, Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales, aged 18 years or older.

Tickets cannot be purchased by a member of the Art Union Raffle Committee, including any individual involved in the organisation of the raffle or the draw (including RaffleTix).  In addition, tickets cannot be purchased by the association conducting or benefiting from the raffle, or its Management Committee (whether a voting member or not) including immediate family members*.

*Immediate family means a person’s relatives (including defacto spouse), parent, child or sibling (whether of full or half blood) and any other family members living with them.

Prizes

1st Prize: Ford Ranger Raptor valued at approximately $100,000 from Carmichael Ford, pick up from any Ford retail location in QLD / NSW / VIC.

2nd Prize: $10,000 Voucher to be spent your way at Harvey Norman.

3rd Prize: $5,000 worth of Travel from Hello World Travel

*Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.

Maximum number of tickets

7,000 tickets are available for purchase at a cost of $50.00 each or 2 tickets for $100, 3 tickets for $150, 5 tickets for $200, 15 tickets for $500, 40 tickets for $1000.

Draw Details

The Draw will take place at 5:00 pm (AEST) on 16 December 2023, at Townsville RSL, 139 Charters Towers Road, Hermit Park QLD 4812.

Draw Method

Numbered Raffle Ticket stubs will be drawn at random from a barrel. First prize will be drawn first followed by all other prizing in descending order.

Notification and Publication of Winners

Winner will be contacted by phone and registered mail and listed on this website and the Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise Website and Facebook page. Results will be published in the Townsville Bulletin on 22 December 2023.  Please check the aforementioned for details.

Prize Claim Date

Winners have 12 months from the date they are notified in which to claim their prize. Winners are to contact secretary@townsvillesunriserotary.org.au in order to claim their prize.

Unclaimed Prize Arrangements

If a Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date or is deemed invalid in accordance with the Entry Restrictions, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize. Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the Promoter to be used for not-for-profit purposes.;
